News of Sagittarius’ busy August schedule. Sagittarius, the resident vocal ensemble since 2000 at the Citadelle in Blaye, near Bordeaux:
- 23 August (8h10) -- Michel Laplénie interview on France Musique’s “Musique Matin” -- release date of Sagittarius’ latest recording dedicated to J-H Schein (Hortus)
- 27 August -- Sagittarius and the Choir Dordogne en Sinfonia concert: “Musikalische Exequien and escerpts Geistliche Chormusik by Schütz
- 30, 31 August and 1st September -- “Fontana D’Amore”, Sagittarius organize a tour around the release of its latest recording.

“Hidemi Suzuki and Alexis Kossenko may both be considered close friends of C.P.E. Bach. Suzuki recorded his cello concertos together with Bach Collegium Japan and Alexis Kossenko made recordings of his traverso concertos with Arte dei Suonatori (Poland).

“THE TUDOR CHOIR CELEBRATES ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY with a five-concert subscription series of four concerts at historic Blessed Sacrament Church in Seattle's University District, where the choir is a resident ensemble, and a Thanksgiving weekend concert at Town Hall. Concert programming will include Tallis' 40-part Spem in alium and Allegri's legendary Miserere, as well as the choir's annual Christmas concert, this year with brass quintet, at the end of December. The season also will see the release of a new Tudor Choir CD--disc of Tudor polyphony that will be previewed in the season opening concert. …

Nell'affascinante e raccolto ambiente della Chiesa di Santa Barbara dei Librai, nel cuore di Roma, una ricostruzione idealizzata di una celebrazione liturgica dei primi anni del XVII secolo, basata sulla Messa della Madonna di Girolamo Frescobaldi (tratta dai suoi Fiori Musicali), sommo organista ferrarese trapiantato ed attivo a Roma a cavallo tra il XVI e il XVII secolo, e su musiche vocali coeve. Organo e voci si alternano nel puntualizzare i vari momenti della celebrazione nello stile dell'epoca, quando la musica costituiva l'unico contatto tra celebrante e fedeli nei riti delle varie cappelle musicali romane.
