“Tritó Edicions is a Catalan music publishers specialised in the Catalan, Spanish and Ibero-American repertoire.
Catalogue
Tritó’s catalogue includes previously unpublished works and unjustly forgotten works by old composers (Terradellas, Baguer o Carnicer), composers from the 19th and 20th centuries (Granados, Albéniz o Gerhard), and also contemporary figures (Brotons, Montsalvatge, Rueda, Guinjoan and Marco), some of their works commissioned by the publishers themselves.
The editions of the scores are always preceded by an introductory text that helps to place their time and style. This is interesting for both musicians and musicologists.
In addition, Tritó publishes the instrumental parts of orchestral and chamber works separately in order to facilitate their diffusion and performance. …”

“January 2010 marked the beginning of the Europeana Regia project, which will digitise 874 rare and precious manuscripts from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, with the collaboration of five major libraries located in four countries and the support of the European Commission. The project is expected to run for thirty months (January 2010 to June 2012) and will draw together three collections of royal manuscripts that are currently dispersed and which represent European cultural activity at three distinct periods in history: the Biblioteca Carolina (8th and 9th centuries), the Library of Charles V and Family (14th century) and the Library of the Aragonese Kings of Naples (15th and 16th centuries). These manuscripts will be fully accessible on the websites of the partner libraries and will also be included in Europeana.“

“Here, brought together for the first time, you will find 50 Renaissance and Baroque ostinato basses, songs and dances on which composers repeatedly wrote variations over the course of decades or even centuries. These pieces circulated from country to country, from one publication or manuscript to another, and also served as a basis for improvisation by performing musicians of the time.
In the tradition of Jazz Standards anthologies, Pascale Boquet and Gérard Rebours have assembled over a hundred pages of the 50 most-used pieces in their basic versions, followed by transpositions and a selection of 210 variants and common derived forms. The examples are enriched with explanations, comments, historical notes and references, supported by the final glossary and bibliography. A generous preface provides theoretical analysis and practical hints for improvising. ..“

“This site is dedicated to the librettos and librettists. It will provide librettos, biographical notes and documents regarding libretto technique, themes, aesthetics, and staging.
The focus on the baroque age won't prevent to broaden the views to other periods, especially through thematic sections and picture exhibitions.“

"In twenty-eight years we have built up a collection of about 700 titles which cover practically every aspect of musical literature and of various repertoires stretching from the 15th to the 19th centuries and even the 20th century including:
* theoretical, historical and aesthetic works
* instrumental and singing tutors
* basic monographs
* journals and annuals
* instrumental tablatures (especially for lute, guitar, viol and organ)
* facsimiles of particularly important manuscripts (15th-20th centuries)
* facsimiles of musical scores for harpsichord, flute, piano-forte, viola, violin, voice and instrumental accompaniment and chamber music.
The works listed in the present catalogue have been chosen for their practical values as well as for their rarity. Most will be of interest not only to musicologists but also to musicians concerned with rediscovering authentic early performance practices. The resolution of many a controversy about the interpretation of early music is hindered by the inaccessibility of the relevant sources.
Two or more works have occasionally been printed together in the same volume, when their subjects were related, with the aim of reducing their price. Forewords more or less developed (in English and in French) have been supplied, for the manuscripts series especially, to explain the choice of the work or the edition, to facilitate its use and to provide information on the author and his work.
Besides the Reprints, this catalogue includes many original works, most notably four important continuing series:
* Anthology of music criticism: Press dossier
* Archives of French music publishing
* Musical iconography
* Publications of the Centre de documentation Claude Debussy "

“Founded in 1996, the bookshop is established in the historical district of the old Lyons, by the banks of the Saône. Since year 2001 it is located 25 quai de Bondy.
In this place of music and meetings, secondhand music scores and books may be found along with a collection from the 18th to 21th century.
The stock is very important and regularly supplied but it is therefore impossible for me to reference all the works that are stocked. You will find after a catalog presenting the latest acquisitions.
I hope you will enjoy this website that puts the emphasis on a point which is very important to me: my bookshop is not virtual! I am at your disposal and I hope I will soon have the pleasure to welcome you in Lyons.“

"hough officially founded in 1973, the publishing firm of Arnaldo Forni began its operations back in the early sixties. Ever since then, owing to the quantity and quality of its output, it has held a leading position in the facsimile reprinting market.
The basis of the firm's publishing activities was the long and wide experience of the antique books market of its founder, Arnaldo Forni. The main incentive to transfer this experience from the commercial sector to that of industrial production was the increasing scarcity of antique books in the post-War years, as well as a growing demand, which could never hope to be satisfied by the available supply of original editions. Hence the decision to reproduce the original texts in limited editions, to be sold slowly over the years. Those were also years in which people were rediscovering the pleasure of reading, and particularly of reading books about one's "roots". From the very start, therefore, many of the Forni reprints were historical volumes on the towns, cities and regions of Italy." See website for more information. (ed.)

"Artemisia Editions was created by Candace Smith and Bruce Dickey to complement the work of the Italian ensemble Cappella Artemisia, a group of women dedicated to performing music from Italian convents of the 16th and 17th centuries. Extensive research has unearthed a startling amount of music either written by or dedicated to these cloistered nuns — music whose quality reflects the remarkably high standards of the original performances as described in the chronicles of numerous historians and travelers in Italy. “The Clavis music publications were established with the aim of researching, making available and publishing lesser known and unpublished Renaissance and Baroque music and to provide new study material for professional musicians.
The idea of publishing music and in particular Baroque music , was inspired by a long term collaboration with the L’Ensemble Recitar Cantando from Pesaro, a group of young musicians and scholars specialised in 15th – 18th century vocal and instrumental music, chamber music, prose theatre and the musicological study of historical sources.
In 2004 L’Ensemble Recitar Cantando was awarded first prize ( the Arcangelo Corelli Award) in the “Dino Caravita” contest in the Ancient Chamber Music section.
As Clavis intends to expand and extend the music publications we would be very happy to receive and evaluate any proposals from scholars, musicians or music lovers who wish to submit works to our editorial team. “
