“This year’s Advent Bach Vespers features two masterworks by JS Bach.  Cantata 147, ‘Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben’ concludes with the famous and well-loved chorale setting that we know in English as ‘Jesu, joy of man’s desiring’.  The motet is Bach’s double choir work, ‘Komm, Jesu, komm.’”

Andrea Chezzi, born in Colorno (PR) in 1975, graduated in organ and composition from the Conservatory A. Boito in Parma, and then studied harpsichord in Amsterdam under the guidance of Bob van Asperen. He followed courses in performance practice of early music with L. F. Tagliavini, W. van de Pol, Ch.
