(FR) Bassa Toscana Dance Workshop: "Medieval and Renaissance Danses" (8-16 Aug 2015)

"Based in the historical region of Auxerre, in Bourgogne, the Bassa Toscana Company was created in 2000 in order to perform and teach French Medieval and Renaissance Dance. The music and instruments are exact replicas of the instruments of that time. The costumes replicate Medieval and Renaissance costumes as represented in paintings of the 15th and 16th centuries. The dances as they are performed and taught by the members of Bassa Toscana have been thoroughly researched in 15th and 16th century texts such as those of Négri, de Caroso and Thoinot Areau."
