Location: The Lufthansa Festival takes place at three beautiful and historic venues in the heart of London
"We know when it's time to celebrate at the Lufthansa Festival, and a clutch of anniversaries in 2014 leaves us in no doubt that now is one of those times. Not only is it our own 30th birthday, it is also the 300th anniversary of the founding of the church that today is our home, St John's Smith Square.
But it is another momentous event 300 years ago that is the main inspiration for our programming this year: 1714 was the year in which Georg, Prince-Elector of Hanover, acceded to the throne of Great Britain as George I, thereby ushering in the era of political stabilisation and economic growth that was the Georgian Age. ...

Relatively new on the scene of festivals, Festival Ebar(O)quement immédia! 2014 found its beginnings in 2002 with the help of Yannick Lemaire and Fabien Guilloux who shared a passion for their sacred musical heritage and founded the association of Harmonia Sacra followed by the Festival Ebar(O)quement immédia! 2014. It has since flourished into the festival that we now know.

"We’ll dance for 3 hours every morning and 3 hours every evening and in between all-can-enjoy cave tours, river walks, thermal-pool-swimming, games, sleeping, cooking and eating. The accommodation, food preparing areas, lounges and dance rooms are simply fantastic. On the Monday when we first arrive we’ll make a theme of dance from 1825 to 1850. On the Tuesday of dance from 1850 to 1875 and on the Wednesday from 1875 to 1900—but any 19th century dress, be it from day or evening dress from any of these periods is fine. ...

News on the Northern Recorder Course (NRC) website of a change of venue for its 2014 workshop session. The venue will relocate from Bawtry Hall, the Northern Recorder Course to Hothorpe Hall.
