Contributed by admin on Nov 18, 2013

Location: Saint-Germain en Laye (78), théâtre Alexandre Dumas, FR

"This programme renders hommage not only to Charpentier but also to Molière and his love of music. Abandonned by Lully, Molière, near the end of his life, turns to Marc-Antoine Charpentier at the start of his career. From forced "Mariage" and of "La Comtesse d'Escarbagnas", to "Sicilien" passing by the imaginary "Malade". La Simphonie du Marais • Hugo Reyne give us appreciation of all talented measures of registers from Charpentier as diverse as those of the pastorale, the farce, of amourous dialogue or parodic entertainment."
