News 2012: (US) Salon Sanctuary: "Get to know our new fiscal sponsor"
(From the latest Salon Sanctuary newsletter and on fundraising -- editor)
“Many of you got to know our new 501(c) 3 fiscal sponsor last December, as the co-producer of More Between Heaven and Earth, our original music-theater work based on the writings of Thomas Jefferson and Maria Cosway. …
The music performed was drawn from that which was mentioned in their writings, some of which was heard for the first time in 225 years that very evening! The event starred actors Matthew Modine, Melissa Errico, and Kathleen Chalfant, and enjoyed positive critical attention from both the musical and theatrical press.
Erica Gould, who directed More Between Heaven and Earth, is one of the Founding Artistic Directors of The Fire Department Theatre Company, which produces work of visceral and heightened theatricality that not only entertains but also wrestles with questions of importance to our society and our world.
Under the direction of Founder and Artistic Director Jessica Gould, the Salon/Sanctuary upcoming season of beautiful concerts in enchanting venues will be enhanced by even more unique interdisciplinary projects that draw our attention to history and expand our expectations of historical performance.

Now is the time to invest in the future.
June 30th, the end of the fiscal year, is fast approaching. A tax-deductible donation to The Fire Department Theater Company, earmarked for Salon/Sanctuary Concerts, will support artists' fees, instrument and venue rental expenses, program printing, insurance charges and administrative costs – just a few of the elements that go into a successful season. …
