“Galway Early Music promotes the performance of medieval, renaissance and baroque music in Galway City and County.
Galway Early Music's main event is The Galway Early Music Festival which runs annually in May and features concerts by top international performers, workshops, schools events and music and theatre in the Galway City Museum and in the street. The Festival has a unique, relaxed and friendly atmosphere and highlights the medieval town of Galway and the artistic and cultural richness of the area. Galway Early Music promotes occasional concerts, talks and workshops throughout the year as well. GEM also has its own ensemble, Seoda (= gems in Irish), which is open to any musicians who would like to explore early music performance. Seoda performs throughout the year at functions and local events.”

Founded in 2000 by Luisa Morales the International Festival of Spanish Keyboard Music (FIMTE) is now internationally recognized as a leader in the field of Spanish Keyboard Music. Through a wide array of performances, scholar and educational events, FIMTE has earned its place as a premier presenting organization for scholars and performers of Spanish Keyboard Music and has secured FIMTE’s reputation among the most important annual celebrations of Spanish music. Opportunities for presenting the new information about Spanish instruments, new repertoire and performance practices, have been provided since 2000 by the symposia which proceedings are published periodically and reviewed in international recognized journals.
“FIMTE is the only festival and symposium devoted to Spanish keyboard music, and has become, since the first gathering in October 2000, the annual international meeting point of musicians, musicologists and builders interested in this topic.” (Early Music, London)

"It all started in 1981.
François Mayrand met Jean-Louis Sajot, well known
clarinetist of
the Orchestre National de France in Paris.
They shared an idea : there must be many amateur musicians who would
like to meet and play chamber music for a week during their summer
holidays.
So it proved to be: and after only a few years , the non-profit making
organisation Musique en Vacances hads become established actor on the
French summer course market.
Over the years, thousands of musicians have enjoyed making
music together and, at the same time, visiting the beautiful spots
chosen as venues by the Association.
Gradually these summer weeks have become truly international. Musicians
from 12 countries came to play their instrument in Loches in August
2004."

The programme of the course includes individual lessons, group teaching of techniques, ensemble playing, listening workshops, lectures, and concerts of lecturers and participants and lots of chances to play with fellow participants (instrumentalists as well as vocalists) from all over the World.
Prachatice is situated in the southern part of Czech Republic, c. 30 km east of České Budějovice, 130 km south from Prague, 200 km north-east of Munich and 200 km north-west of Vienna.
The town is fascinating primarily because of its large medieval fortifications, entrance gate with battlements, dominant late Gothic church, the Old Town-Hall with inner porticos and a number of Renaissance buildings.
