"Recorders/Early Music MetroWest was founded in 1999 as BRS-West (a satellite program of the Boston Recorder Society) to encourage consort playing and musician development in Boston’s western suburbs. Now an independent organization and a chapter of the American Recorder Society in our own right, we have completed eight successful seasons, averaging 45-50 players each month, with four or five coaches on hand at most meetings. Our members range in age from 17 to 70, and come from communities in New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Central Massachusetts as well as the metroBoston area. Now we begin our ninth season serving the early music community in the greater Metropolitan Boston area. " See website for more information. (ed.)
