(UK) Woodhouse Recorder Week

"Woodhouse Recorder Week is a unique international summer school held in the peaceful surroundings of the Surrey Hills, dedicated to the development of recorder education.

• An intensive, inspiring week-long course aimed at young recorder players aged 16-25, who have already passed grade 8 or higher and who wish to pursue their studies to a more advanced or professional level. Daily masterclasses, concerts, workshops and activities, with an international team of tutors

• Junior Day for young and enthusiastic recorder players of approx grades 3 and above, aged 18 and under. Mini-masterclass with players of similar age and level, with ensemble playing and a final concert for parents and friends

• Teacher Development Day - Teacher workshops designed to support and inspire both the class recorder teacher and those working with small groups and individuals up to advanced level. Planned events include technical skills for teaching beginners, coping with mixed ability groups, Tudor dance workshop with Philippa Waite, and a Question & Answer session with an ABRSM examiner.
