Competitions 2017: (UK) NCEM York Early Music International Young Artists Competition 2017 (Application deadline 17 Jan 2017)

Applications are open until Tuesday 17 January 2017

  • Are you an early music ensemble (minimum 2 members)?
  • Is the average age of your members 32 years or under?
  • Do you focus on historically informed performance practice and play repertory of any period from the Middle Ages to the 19th century on period instruments?
  • Can you be available from Wednesday 12 to Saturday 15 July 2017 at the National Centre for Early Music in York?

The Competition provides a major boost to young professional careers, offering opportunities for performances, recording and broadcasting, and a route to the prestigious eeemerging project. It will be introduced by performer and musicologist John Bryan, who is joined by an international panel of judges that includes some of the world’s finest early music specialists.
