The Boston Early Music Festival is proud to announce the release of its latest Opera CD, Charpentier's Actéon, one of the first operas presented in the BEMF Chamber Opera Series. The CDs will arrive just in time for the upcoming annual chamber opera, Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, on November 27 and 28.
"Our fourth opera recording, Charpentier's Actéon, is exquisite," says BEMF Executive Director Kathleen Fay. "Paul O'Dette and Stephen Stubbs lead our musicians to exemplary performances of this rarely recorded work. We are proud to add this to BEMF's library of Grammy-nominated recordings and I'm sure opera lovers will be just as enthusiastic about this CD as I am."

Your first chance to purchase the new Actéon CD from BEMF will be at the November 27 and 28 performances of Purcell's Dido and Aeneas. Celebrate the release with BEMF artists at a CD signing following both performances. The original directorial team of Musical Directors Paul O'Dette and Stephen Stubbs, Stage Director Gilbert Blin, and Costume Design Anna Watkins will be available to sign copies of the new CD. Actéon will also be available on WWW.BEMF.ORG starting on November 29.
