News 2011: (US) Early Music Scholars Competition (EMSC) -- Chalice Consort

Contributed by Admin on Jan 27, 2011

We are on the hunt for missing "pieces" of early music history in alignment with our mission. Chalice is calling for submissions for the 2011 Early Music Scholars Competition (EMSC).

The focal piece is the Tenebrae Responsories by the 16th-century Spanish composer Tomàs Luis da Victoria (c.1548-1611). From the submissions received, up to five pieces will be presented at the CCEMC, and from those, one will be selected for performance by Chalice Consort at a future concert.

Visit the Chalice Consort website for more information on the Early Music Scholars Competition and submission deadline.
