Workshops/Festivals 2011: (US) SFEMS 2011 Summer Early Music Workshops (2011 June 19 - July 23)

Contributed by Admin on Apr 19, 2011

For over thirty years SFEMS has offered one of the most comprehensive summer early music programs in the United States, led by a faculty of international artists in residence. Instrumental and vocal master classes, lectures, coached ensembles, and recitals provide an opportunity for musicians and dancers at a variety of levels to improve their ensemble skills, performance techniques, and teaching abilities.

Full days of classes, coaching, and rehearsals are followed by optional evening events, including faculty concerts and lecture-demonstrations, plus more light-hearted activities, from Morris and Renaissance dancing to croquet or poetry readings.

  • Medieval & Renaissance Workshop, June 19-25, 2011
  • Baroque Music Workshop, June 26-July 2, 2011
