Early Music Concerts 2011-2012: (CA) I FURIOSI Baroque Ensemble: Gabrielle McLaughlin at the TORONTO REFERENCE LIBRARY (11 Nov 2011)

Contributed by Admin on Nov 10, 2011

I FURIOSI's Gabrielle McLaughlin will be speaking this Friday at this notable series:

“Do you always find yourself dreaming that you had just a little more time in your life? That you could travel seamlessly between the present, past, and future? Well, what if time were an illusion instead of reality? Maybe you could go back in time to listen to your favorite Baroque music. And maybe you could find out how to brand yourself today in a way that will make you successful tomorrow.

Dream no longer. Fortunately, the Treehouse Talks have these answers for you and more. All you need to do is make the time for our three speakers this Friday November 11, at 6:30 pm, in the Bram & Bluma Appel Salon at the Toronto Reference Library:
  • LEE SMOLIN on Whether Time is Real or an Illusion
  • SALIMA SYERAH VIRANI on "The Personal Brand" and its importance for entrepreneurs
  • GABRIELLE McLAUGHLIN on the Boulevard of Baroquen Dreams

In 100 minutes, you'll create a pastiche opera with a soprano singer, you'll learn from a successful entrepreneur how to brand yourself, and you'll discuss with a theoretical physicist whether time is real or an illusion. Please note that this week's Talks will be held in the swanky Appel Salon, on the second floor of the Reference Library. Moreover, on the likely chance that time is an illusion, drop your chores and come early to Reference Library. A cash bar will be open before the Talks from 5:30-6:30 pm in the Appel Salon.

Welcome to the Treehouse!
