Early Music Concerts 2010-2011: (US) All The Queen's Men (Tudor Choir Concert) (2011 May 14)

Contributed by Admin on May 07, 2011

The choir for the recent Royal Wedding included the choir of Westminster Abbey as well as the Queen's Chapel Royal, an institution dating back centuries that has produced some of England's greatest composers and music. On May 14, the Tudor presents ALL THE QUEEN'S MEN, a narrated performance of music composed for the Chapel Royal during the reigns of legendary 16th-century monarchs Mary Tudor and Elizabeth I.

Don't miss this opportunity to hear masterworks by English Renaissance greats Thomas Tallis and William Byrd, among others, in the beautiful acoustic of historic Blessed Sacrament Church, an English Gothic Revival building dating from 1908, where the Tudor Choir is a resident ensemble.

Visit the Tudor Choir website for more information on the upcoming concert.
