(IT) TREBANTIQUA 2013 (20 Jul-17 Aug 2013)

Contributed by harmoniamusicae on Jun 23, 2013

The fascinating historical village of Trevi nel Lazio (Italy, Latium) will host the second edition of Trebantiqua, international early music festival, from July 20 to August 17. A series of 6 concerts with internationally acclaimed artists will be offered at both the Collegiate Curch of St. Maria Assunta, with the celebrated 1634 Bonifazi organ, and at the main hall of the Caetani Castle under the artistic direction of Giuseppe Schinaia.

Trevi nel Lazio offers several tourist and art attractions all year round, but it is in the summer that it shows its most appealing side with a cooler climate in the luscious setting of the river Aniene's high valley, the various art events at the Caetani Castle, its narrow medieval streets of its tiny center and the other many points of interest of its territory.

Trebantiqua this year provides the usual variety of concert programs, ranging from late renaissance to the mature baroque style of the XVIII century, with a large offer of instrument sounds, from flutes to violins, harp and natural trumpet, with a special attention to the majestic historical Bonifazi organ built in 1634. A special program is dedicated to women composers on August 4.
