“Chant Camp is a half day session of chant singing, structured around a number of carefully-chosen plainchant topics. Each topic presentation begins with a brief, informative, illustrated lecture, followed by plenty of group singing, to illustrate and permanently “set” the lesson. The workshop ends with a communal chant singing, combining elements of the day’s work, along with extensions and improvisations based on the day’s material.

“Le Clavecin en fête, a spring festival held in some of the most beautiful venues in Walloon Brabant and in Brussels, is celebrating its 22nd anniversary, this year.
The traditional venue of these concerts is the beautiful romanesque church of Tourinnes-la-Grosse, from which the festival derives its name. But the little church of Upigny provides an alternative venue when the intimate character of the works on the program requires one.
In the wake of the festival, there are also "The Harpsichord on Thursdays" and the "Espace Mikrokosmos", whose programs are a perfect foil for those of "The Harpsichord at Tourinnes".

European and American Vintage Dances ~ Ballroom dances of the 19th Century
Dancing Classes August 12 – August 19 & Gran d Ball on August 18 in 2012 in Vienna, Austria
“The course will teach ballroom dances of the 19th century, both couple and formation dances, which were then very popular in the famous ballrooms of Vienna, Berlin, Paris, London and New York. Newly reconstructed quadrilles, waltzes, polkas and mazurkas from that period will be rehearsed during the course and will be included in the programme of the Grand Ball. The ball dancers will be expected to wear period costumes and a live orchestra will play in a gala programme with the theme of Strauß’s famous waltz “Wiener Blut” (The Viennese Blood).

Players of Baroque bassoon, double bass and violone are also welcome.”
