(US) Recorders/Early Music MetroWest (R/EMM)

"Recorders/Early Music MetroWest was founded in 1999 as BRS-West (a satellite program of the Boston Recorder Society) to encourage consort playing and musician development in Boston’s western suburbs. Now an independent organization and a chapter of the American Recorder Society in our own right, we have completed eight successful seasons, averaging 45-50 players each month, with four or five coaches on hand at most meetings. Our members range in age from 17 to 70, and come from communities in New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Central Massachusetts as well as the metroBoston area. "The Canberra Recorder and Early Music Society is aimed at people of all ages and abilities in the Canberra region who share a love of this ancient instrument. We offer regular playing opportunities with those who are like-minded in an informal and social atmosphere, as well as workshops led by professional tutors. Members are encouraged to play in consorts or small groups, and to form links with other players in the Canberra region. Members are entitled to use of the CREMS music library. Twice a year CREMS participates in a weekend workshop in Bundanoon, in southern NSW, in conjunction with the Sydney Society of Recorder Players. ..."
