“The Academy of Ancient Music in Rovereto, founded in 1979, has been operating for over twenty five years in the region, nationally and internationally for the purpose of research, study and disseminate the music according to principles of historical accuracy, respecting the characteristics of the interpretation of the works and the sounds of musical instruments. This activity takes place through the organization of concerts, performances, conferences, exhibitions, publications, recordings, courses and competitions. The main feature of the Academy of Ancient Music is to directly produce much of this activity, through the commitment of its members: they comprise of academics, teachers and professional musicians, and a good part of advanced students and amateurs in musical practice.”
