(IT) Association Collegium Pro Musica

“The Collegium Pro Musica Association has its premises in the city of Genoa and promotes activities aimed to regenerate and enliven the art and culture, with particular reference to the classical and ancient music.

Since 1990 until now, the artistic direction of the Collegium Pro Musica distinguished itself for having supervised the artistic coordination of many concert events. As far as its first years of activity are concerned, we can mention: Musica Antica nei Chiostri (Ancient Music in cloisters, Genoa, 1990), the baroque music section of The International Festival of Baroque Arts (Rome, Genoa and Siracusa, 1991) and the classical music section of the Mediterranean Festival (Genoa, 1992, 1993 and 1994). In 1993, the Association has finally been founded and from that time on, it has fully managed both the organizational and the artistic aspects of the events promoted.

The International Festival of Chamber Music (formerly named as “I Concerti dell’Ateneo” and then “Genova Musica Antica”) is the concert event that the Collegium Pro Musica Association has been promoting for many years: launched in 1994, dedicated to the great chamber music with a special predilection for the baroque and classical repertoire, it is the most important summer event of classical music in Genoa. Since the 2000, the Festival takes place also in the town of Savona. …”
