"The Cambridge Society for Early Music was founded by the noted harpsichordist and musicologist Erwin Bodky, who introduced performances of pre-Classical European music to the general public at Harvard College in the late 1940s. Since Bodky's death in 1958, the CSEM has continued in the spirit of its founder to present performances of solo, chamber, choral, and orchestral music from the Middle Ages through the early 19th century.
