“Enshrined in the tradition of the great masters whose origins date back to the sixth century in Europe, ”Les Petits Chanteurs Du Mont-Royal” was founded in 1956 by Father Leander Brault, csc. Since the beginning, choir’s mission is to enrich the religious services of the “Oratoire Saint-Joseph du Mont-Royal” in sacred song.
Aged eight to seventeen, the 210 boys in the choir come from different cultural backgrounds but share a common passion for singing, where, through the mastery of the repertoire, they discover the great polyphonic works from all periods and from all countries. Their repertoire ranges from Gregorian chant to contemporary choral works.” (Transl. Marc Paré, ed.)
