Eugène was born in Holland in 1962 and started playing the flute at the age of 5 under the influence of Frans Brüggen and followed by master classes with Barthold Kuijken & Wilbert Hazelzet. Eugène started playing concerts all around the world at a young age and in 1983 he began making baroque flutes for himself. Many of the best flute players in the world now use his instruments.
