"In celebration of her remarkable tenure, Jeanne is selecting her favourite repertoire from 33 seasons at Tafelmusik, weaving together a tapestry of her fondest musical memories. To honour Jeanne, musicians from the orchestra will write “goodbye gifts” of newly-composed pieces based on variations on Purcell movements (including a Hornpipe from Abdelazar, Fairest Isle from King Arthur & Chaconny in g). And there will be an audience-choice portion of the concert, pre-selected by you! Not to be missed."

"Isabel Bayrakdarian joins Tafelmusik for a concert of music written for the famous “rival queens” of 18th-century London: baroque era superstar sopranos Faustina Bordoni and Francesca Cuzzoni. Their rivalry inspired riots at the opera house, and their behaviour so enraged Handel that he threatened to dangle one of them out a window! We will try to avoid such extremes, but look forward to hearing the stunning Isabel Bayrakdarian perform arias penned for these original prima donnas by Handel, Hasse, and Bononcini."
