(FR) Festival de Froville Pre-Festival Concerts (27, 28 apr 2012)

The Festival de Froville opens on the 19th of may with Concerto Köln and Vivaldi’s Stabat Mater followed by thirteen concerts in Froville and Lunéville. Before this date, so anticipated, the festival proposes two exceptional concerts.

The musicians of the film“Intouchables” visit Lunéville on April 27th, in the Festival Hall of Cirey sur Vezouze, and, April 28th at the Lunéville Castle Chapel. ”Le Cariccio Français” directed by Philippe Le Fèvre, with Hélène Dufour, harpsichord; Yann Rolland, countertenor; Estelle Béréau, soprano,  perform:

Antonio VIVALDI’s most appreciated airs
Some works of XVIIIth century Venice
Motets and opera excerpts for soprano or countertenor (solo or duo)

One of the world's greatest lutenists plays in Cambridge!  Jakob Lindberg's programme of Jacobean music for solo lute includes works by Dowland, Cuthbert Hely, Robert Johnson and Daniel Bacheler, as well as anonymous Scottish folk tunes.

“In short, not too heavy steps that are known to a choreographer as the Jean-Baptiste Lully Gigue from opera Roland (1685). The opera, which tells the adventures of Roland, the paladin of Charlemagne, was played until 1750 in many European countries, and, accordingly, also known was the melody of the Gigue à deux.
