In 1999 the ensemble appeared in the International Early Music Network Young Artists' Competition and was selected for the late Yehudi Menuhin's Live Music Now! scheme. “The Centro Studi Opera omnia Luigi Boccherini (Onlus) of Lucca was established in November 2005 to carry out the editorial work relating to the complete works of the lucchese composer Luigi Boccherini. The choice of Lucca as a location is not by chance: Luigi Boccherini was born in Lucca, so it is the natural site on which to launch the Italian National Edition of Luigi Boccherini's Complete Works. The Centro Studi also hosts the work of the Italian National Edition of the Opera omnia of Pietro Antonio Locatelli and the musicological series Speculum Musicae, Studies on Italian Music History and Monumenta Musica Europea.

“Jerry Fuller began studying the double bass at age 16 and was invited to join the Lyric Opera of Chicago orchestra three years later. Within two years he was promoted to first desk of the double bass section in addition to performing with the Santa Fe Opera. Mr Fuller has also served as solo double bass of The Musikkollegium Winterthur Switzerland. While in Europe, Mr. Fuller became interested in historically-informed performance practice and has achieved international recognition for his work with period instruments. “Since 1993 we have been running the workshop ' Le Pin Lyre ', where I make harpsichords and Isabelle restores violins, lutes and violes. In fact, we work together on lots of tasks, but that's the basic setup.
The harpsichord side of things: As of 1988, I learned the basics with Lewis Jones, at the London College of Furniture, later London Guildhall, now London Metropolitan University. After much research 'Ariata' eventually came into being, and this is the trade name for my interpretation of a single manual F to f French harpsichord.

Building bowed instruments for more than 25 years gave me the opportunity to measure quite a lot of original 17th and 18th century instruments. Among these are instruments from makers like Barak Norman, Edward Lewis, Cheron, Bertrand, Rombouts, Jacobs, Hellmer, Stradivari, Castagnieri, Linarol and Ciciliano. The list of names includes cellos, basses, the members of the viol family from treble viol to consort bass, and the viola d'amore.

The Consorzio has its seat in Cremona , the city of Stradivari , Amati and Guarneri, the great masters of the past. Their art, known and admired throughout the world, is a source of inexhaustible inspiration for modern instrument makers.
Around sixty master stringed instrument makers from Cremona and its Province belong to the Consorzio.

The Ciconia Ensemble is dedicated to the music of the late 14th/early 15th centuries, especially the so-called Ars Subtilior, that uniquely difficult and wonderful music that flourished briefly in France and northern Italy. The group consists of Anna Maria Friman (soprano), John Potter (tenor), Susanna Pell and Jacob Heringman (lutes & vielles) and made its debut in York in 2006.
